CRADLEY have secured a deal to bring Tyler Govier back to the club.

Govier, 21, started the season with the Isle of Wight but has now been handed a return to the Motor Market Heathens.

The popular youngster had a spell with the club in 2015 before seeing a proposed return last season fall through – and he is relishing the chance to don green, red and white once again.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be back if I’m honest,” Govier said. “I’ve had a frustrating start to the season, so to be picked up by Cradley again is something to be proud of.

“Hopefully I can get off to a good start against Stoke on Monday. I want to help us get a win and build from there.”

Govier replaces Shelby Rutherford in the Heathens’ side – and team boss Will Pottinger is pleased with their latest addition.

Pottinger added: “We felt we needed to make a change to strengthen our play-off push, so hopefully Tyler can come in and do a good job.

“We need him to bang in some points to help us reach that top four and start that off by contributing to a win against Stoke on Monday.”
