HEATHENS V EASTBOURNE, PREVIEW

Sunday September 10, 2017
CRADLEY will complete their home league fixtures as they host Eastbourne at Monmore Green on Monday (7.30).

The Motor Market Heathens have experienced a mixed season and look set to miss out on the Travel Plus National League play-offs.

But they remain keen to go out on a high in front of their loyal fans – although they still have the second leg of their Knockout Cup tie with Belle Vue to come at Perry Barr on September 27.

Team boss Will Pottinger said: “We’ll be looking to win our last home league match of the season,

“Eastbourne are going to be strong opponents, and they aren’t towards the top of the league for no reason.

“We’re expecting a tough meeting, but we’ve just got to try and give our fans something to shout about.

“We know it’s been a tough season, but they’ve continued to turn out and support us, so we want to try and get another home win.”

Birmingham star Tom Bacon has been booked to guest for injured skipper Tom Perry, whilst Joe Alcock steps in at reserve and rider replacement covers for Joe Lawlor.

CRADLEY: Danny Ayres, Luke Harris, Joe Lawlor R/R, Richard Hall, Tom Bacon, Conor Dwyer, Joe Alcock, James Chattin (No.8).
EASTBOURNE: Jake Knight, Charley Powell, Josh Bailey, Tom Brennan, Georgie Wood, Charlie Saunders, Matthew Bates.
